Basic Pizza dough

Before I start adding recipes to this blog, I thought it would be a good idea to post my basic pizza dough. I do cooked lots of Italian/Sicilian food, Although none in my family were Italian, but we do LOVE Italian food, why pay high dollar if you can cook it your self? Especially if you like to cook just like me?, or at least willing to try something new, perhaps to surprise your love ones with your homemade dinner?, hey let's get start it..!



Basic Pizza Dough I

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flat beer or flat 7Up
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (use 1 tablespoons if use 7Up)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients as order, stir well to combine. Beat well until a stiff dough has formed. Cover and rise until doubled in volume, about 30 minutes.
Form dough into a round, Roll or press dough to cover a prepared pizza pan or any type of rolls you want, Brush lightly with olive oil. Cover and let stand 15 minutes
*Recommend oven temperature: 400
°F (205°C) for 12-18 minutes depend on the shaped of the crust.


Pizza Dough Recipe II

Ingredients

  • 0.25 OZ (7gr) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F / 45°C)
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy (approximately 10minutes) set aside. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups bread flour, salt, sugar, olive oil, and the yeast mixture, stir well to combine. Beat well until a stiff dough has formed. Cover and rise until doubled in volume, (approximately 30 minutes). Turn dough out onto a well floured surface. Form dough into a round and roll out into a pizza crust shape or any shape you want.
*Recommend oven temperature: 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes depend on the shaped of the crust.
